ABRSM launches Journeys, the new online learning resource for electric guitar

ABRSM is extending its influence and serving a new market with the launch of Journeys, the new online learning resource for beginner electric guitarists.

Journeys is an online platform that offers those starting to learn to play the electric guitar a pathway to learning the songs they love, with a personalised journey that draws from 100 songs and gradually helps them build the skills they need, step by step, at their pace. Tutorials, self-assessment tools and many unique features help them as they gradually build up their own set list from a wide range of artists - Adele to the Zutons, Beyoncé to the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. Once they feel ready, learners can choose to jam with a band comprising some of the best session musicians on the circuit.

Journeys is designed for those picking up an electric guitar for the first time and also for those who may have played some time ago before putting their learning on hold. Extensive research revealed that learning to play the electric guitar alone can be difficult and many new learners often don’t continue their journey to becoming a competent player.
