We know that we can only serve everyone - and inspire musical achievement - if we include everyone.

The murder of George Floyd and the Black Lives Matter movement has made us, like many organisations, think about and challenge any practices that allow prejudice to persist. Our Diversity Statement is a commitment to increase representation of people from all backgrounds across all areas of what we do. As part of this, and as a significant commissioner of music, we are today announcing the launch of a mentoring scheme for emerging underrepresented composers specifically to write for education purposes and increase the pool of published music we can draw on in the future.
